The sobering quote, ‘If you do not make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness’ is a call to action — while we can. Similarly, in terms of gratitude, it could be understood as don’t wait to appreciate.

In order to maintain free will in the world, God put into the world forces (or desires) of good and bad. The more precious the spiritual “good” is, the more obstacles and distractions there are to stop the acquisition.
If you are disinclined to set aside time every day for gratitude it’s an indication of the magnitude of its importance.
Similiar to the quote above, it’s is better to be proactive and appreciate the good than reactive and reflect on the good. Or, from the famous line in Joni Mitchell’s song Big Yellow Taxi, “Don’t it always seem to go, that you don’t know what you got ’till it’s gone.”
