Just Ask

In a recent Inc. story, Contributing Editor Marcel Schwantes resurrected a 1994 interview with Steve Jobs to drive home an underappreciated, underutilized point — ask for what you want.

Most people never pick up the phone and call. Most people never ask, and that’s what separates the people who do things from the people who just dream about them.

Jobs’ message is profoundly deep and profounding useful.

  • Got a problem with self-control — ask G-d for help.
  • Got a problem with raising children — ask G-d for help.
  • Slipped up and did a sin — ask G-d to forgive you.
  • Got some medical problems — ask G-d for help.

And the list goes on.

Remember, “More than the calf wants to suckle the cow wants to nurse.” Like every loving parent, G-d is just waiting to help.
