In Forest Fields : pg 29
Moshiach will tell each person, “Go speak with Hashem! Ask Him to have compassion on you and to help you do teshuva. Ask Him to free your mind from the follies of this world.”
Do the Math : Bresev.co.il : Ahavat Yisrael
“Please G-d, let the Jewish people return in complete repentance before you, and in particular, for all the commandments between man and fellow man and ahavat Yisrael.”
In Forest Fields : pg 40 : Eating
“Master of the World, thank you for the food you give me. Please help me eat with holiness and with moderation. Help me say the blessings before and after the meal with proper intent. May the food I eat be beneficial to the body and conducive to good health. Help me avoid overeating. May the spiritual essence of this meal revitalize my soul, and give you energy to seek you more and more…”
In Forest Fields : pg 40 : Wife
“Master of the World, help me have a peaceful relationship with my wife. Open my heart so I will understand her, and grant me the patience to listen intently to whatever she has to say and to give her the attention she needs. May there always be love and understanding between us. Please help me have a home of peace, Hashem…”
In Forest Fields : Pg 43 : Emunah
“Please Hashem, give me full and completed emuna. Help me believe that there’s no such thing as bad in the world, for everything is in Your hands and everything You do is for the very best. Help me believe that You love me and that You derive gratification from me.”
“Instill in me the complete emuna that there is no one but You. In other words, help me internalize the knowledge that no one can help me or harm me against Your will. Help me realize that anyone who brings troubles in my life is only a stick in Your living hands to bring me close to You. Let me fully realized that it’s not my boss, my wife, or my mother-in-law that’s upsetting me, but only a hint from You to arouse me to pray and to teshuva.”
“Give me emuna that everything is in Your hands, Hashem. Don’t let me make the mistake of thinking that my talents and abilities are the cause of my successes. Help me invest my primary efforts in prayer. Let me believe that my deficiencies all stem from a deficiency of prayer …”
The Garden of Gratitude : pg 160 : Tribulations
“Father in Heaven! You can transform the very worst tribulation into the greatest possible good. Help me use this opportunity to rectify what You want me to rectify and get closer to You. Help me accept everything with full faith, gratitude and happiness.”
In Forest Fields : Chapter 3 : Personal Prayer
Prayer for People of Israel & the Nation of the World
We should pray that everyone should come close to the true tzaddik and make teshuva. We should pray that everyone should learn emuna, and that each person talk to Hashem for an hour a day in personal prayer. We should pray for an end to exile and assimilation, and that Hashem should send us Moshiah and our rebuilt holy Temple in Jerusalem.
It’s also important to pray for the nations of the world, that they should all recognize that Hashem is King; when that day comes, there will be true peace on earth.
At the Conclusion of Personal Prayer :
“Thank you, Hashem, for the privilege of being able to talk to You today. Please enable me to set aside an hour of hitbodedut tomorrow as well.”
The Garden of Healing : page 105 : Prayer for Joy
Dear G-d, I come before you, Who are full of mercy, asking for your help to gladden me and deliver me. Enlighten me and reveal through me the truth of Your way. Teach me Your Torah and guide me to be able to transform sadness and depression into joy, to completely disempower the forces of evil from having any influences over me.
May I constantly be strengthened and reinforced with so much joy that I am able to transform my sadness or depression into so much joy that not even the slightest remnant of them remain inside of me.
I know that the reason I have been vulnerable to sadness, and caused myself such terrible harm, is specifically because of the many sins I have committed. Nonetheless, please help me to transform that sadness into joy, not because of any merits that I may have, but rather because of Your pure love for me. Therefore, please give me life, and help me get unstuck.
